How to Register


Workshop Covington class registration Happens via email.  Classes descriptions and dates will be posted ahead of the registration date. 

Registration Instructions

All registration takes place by email, and spot are filled in order of receipt.

Please ensure your email contains the information outlined below.  After you have sent us an email, you will receive a reply confirming your spot, along with instructions for payment. Payment is due within 48 hours of confirmation email being sent. Class registration is not complete until payment is received. 

If the class you request is full, we will respond with an email letting you know that we have placed you on a wait list (we almost always have to fill at least one space).


Registration for January to June 2027 classes will start on Wednesday, October 7th, at noon (EST).

In the email body, please include your name and phone number

**For the Naturally Curved Armbow class, you must submit 3 photos of chairs you have completed along with your registration. An email without these photos will not be considered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t have the required tools?

We have a small number of tools to share for those who need them. Please let us know beforehand if you need to borrow a tool from the list so we can ensure there is one available.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations will be accepted until eight weeks before the class for a full refund.  If a cancellation occurs within eight weeks prior to the class date, a refund will be issued only if the spot can be filled. 

Can I drop by the shop if I’m in town?

Absolutely! See the Lost Art Press Storefront hours to see when the workshop is open for a visit. You can also send us an email to let us know when you want to drop by.  When there is no class in session, we may be engaged in stock prep or lumber yard trips, but we’ll do our best to accommodate your visit. 

Can I bring my family?

Yes! There are plenty of activities for your family to do in Covington and Cincinnati. Please see this post from the Lost Art Press blog for family activity ideas..

Are meals provided?

Yes! We provide a light breakfast and lunch each day of class. Many students go out together for dinner and drinks after class. Our 5-day classes include a meal with students and the intructor on the last evening. We do ask that you let us know if you have allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate.

Is parking available?

We do not have a parking lot at this time. There is some limited street parking in and around the Workshop location. Covington is extremely walkable, and most students leave their cars at their accommodations and walk to the Workshop each day. If walking is difficult for you, please let us know so we can accommodate.
